Due to the large difference in the quality of these alternative raw materials, the ability of raw materials to absorb steam during the feed pellet press process was reduced, showing loose particles, no surface luster, poor hardness, and high chalking rate.
In order to improve the quality of the granules, it is often necessary to add binding ingredients such as wheat, sub-flour or bentonite to the formulation. According to our use situation, adding appropriate amount of wheat or sub-flour is better, mainly because of its rich gluten protein and soluble cellulose, it is easier to absorb steam and mature, thereby improving the particle quality.
